Job summary

Hariley Solutions West Midlands is recruiting for Cleaning Operatives / FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy site in Ashford. This hands-on role combines cleaning duties with Counterbalance FLT driving, offering ongoing work with the potential to move into a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Shift pattern rotates every two weeks (6:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00) with night shifts paid for a full 37.5 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Experience in cleaning, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Comfortable with rotating shifts, including nights.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on approach to work.

Cleaning Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Ashford

Pay: £14.66 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary initially, with the opportunity to become permanent

We’re currently recruiting for Cleaning Operatives / FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy site in Ashford.

This is a hands‑on role combining cleaning duties with Counterbalance FLT driving, offering ongoing work with the potential to move into a permanent position.

The role

You’ll be responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised working environment, alongside carrying out FLT Counterbalance duties as required.

The role is initially temporary, with the opportunity to transfer into a permanent position after 12 weeks for the right person.

Shift Pattern

• 2 weeks: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2 weeks: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 2 weeks: 10:00pm - 6:00am

The night shift runs Monday to Thursday only, but you will be paid for a full 37.5-hour week.

The shift pattern then rotates back to the early shift.

What we're looking for

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
• Experience working in a cleaning, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights
• Reliable and punctual
