Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Recycling Operative for a busy Preston site. This full-time role offers regular Monday to Friday hours, with an immediate start and the potential for a permanent contract after a successful temporary period.

You will operate a Counterbalance FLT, assist with loading/unloading, support recycling operations, and help maintain a clean, safe working environment within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
• Previous FLT driving experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good awareness of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual attitude.
• Team player with a flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move stock and materials around the site.
• Assist with recycling and waste management operations.
• Sort recyclable materials where required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
