Job summary

The Recruit UK is seeking experienced FLT Counterbalance Drivers for night shifts in the Trafford Park / Stretford area of Manchester. You will join a busy warehouse team, operating a counterbalance FLT, loading/unloading, and moving stock safely during night hours.

Requirements include a valid counterbalance FLT licence and previous experience, with reliability and teamwork. Shifts are 5 out of 7 with weekends included, nights 18:00–06:00, and a pay rate of £15.23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate held valid and recognised.
• Previous Counterbalance FLT experience and knowledge of warehousing safety.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a good team ethic.
• Able to work long shifts and flexible to 5 out of 7 shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles and move pallets/stock around the warehouse.
• Transport goods to designated storage areas and between warehouse zones.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out operations and keep areas clean and safe.
• Carry out pre-shift checks on the FLT and follow site health and safety procedures.

FLT Counterbalance Drivers Needed - Nights

Recruit are currently recruiting for experienced FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation based in the Trafford Park / Stretford area of Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and experienced FLT drivers looking for regular, ongoing work, with both night shift opportunities available.

The successful candidates will be working as part of a busy warehouse team, carrying out a range of FLT and general warehouse duties while ensuring goods are moved safely and efficiently around the site.

Pay Rate:

• Nights: £15.23 per hour
• Overtime: Available

Shift Pattern:

• Any 5 shifts out of 7 - weekends included

Shift Times:

• Night Shift: 18:00 - 06:00

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving pallets and stock around the warehouse and yard
• Loading goods into designated storage areas
• Moving materials between warehouse and operational areas
• Assisting with goods-in and goods-out operations
• Ensuring stock is handled safely and securely
• Carrying out regular checks of the FLT before use
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Working closely with warehouse colleagues and supervisors
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Carrying out general warehouse duties when required

• Have previous Counterbalance FLT experience
• Hold a valid and recognised Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate
• Have good knowledge of warehouse and FLT safety procedures
• Are comfortable working long shifts
