Job Title: FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative

DBR Group, acting as a Recruitment Agency, is recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver (electric vehicles) / Warehouse Operative for our client, a well-known company in the Industrial Industry, located in Chadderton, Manchester.

Established in 1991, our client is a privately owned company with depots in Chadderton (Manchester), Dublin (Ireland), and Antrim (Northern Ireland). They are a respected supplier to healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, providing line haul and direct distribution services to medical wholesalers, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and servicing the Chemical Industry across Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and the UK.

The role involves assisting in the timely and accurate preparation and loading of customer orders, along with other warehouse duties, including cleaning tasks on the Pharma Site. This is a 12-week temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Duties:

1. Driving and operating the FLT Counterbalance (electric vehicles)
2. Unloading vehicles and loading trailers
3. Moving materials within the warehouse
4. Checking that loads are secure
5. Using pump trucks to move palletised goods into vehicles, along with general warehouse duties
6. Performing cleaning duties on the Pharma Site
7. Manual handling tasks
8. Adhering to health and safety regulations
9. Following written instructions and maintaining records

Requirements:

• Valid and up-to-date FLT Counterbalance licence (electric vehicles)
• Previous FLT Counterbalance experience is essential
• Experience with groupage operations is preferred
• Basic DBS check (to be applied for as the role progresses to permanent)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM (noon) to 8:00 PM, with some Saturdays available. Overtime paid after 8:00 PM and for early starts.

Remuneration:

£13.10 per hour, with overtime at £19.65 per hour (review in April).
