Empowered Personnel Ltd is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver in Hinckley. The role combines FLT driving with Goods In/Out, picking, packing and general warehouse duties in a busy distribution environment.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm. This Temp-to-Perm opportunity offers long-term stability with a growing business and potential local deliveries using the company van.

Qualifications

• Valid, externally accredited FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse and FLT safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.
• Unloading trailers and incoming deliveries.
• Move and store pallets and stock in designated locations.
• Check incoming goods for damage, shortages or discrepancies.
• Complete Goods In and Goods Out duties.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Load goods for despatch and print labels.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and paperwork.
• Carry out local deliveries using the company van when required.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and compliant with safety rules.
• Support colleagues with general warehouse duties as needed.

FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Hinckley

Salary: £14.21 per hour (£31,393 per annum once permanent)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a successful and growing business based in Hinckley.

This is a hands-on, varied warehouse role that combines FLT driving with Goods In, Goods Out, order picking and general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will spend a significant amount of their working day operating a Counterbalance FLT, unloading trailers, moving pallets and safely storing stock. When not operating the FLT, you will support the wider warehouse operation, including order picking, scanning, printing labels, stock control and despatch activities. There may also be opportunities to carry out local deliveries using the company van.

FLT Counterbalance Driver Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Unloading trailers and incoming deliveries
• Moving and storing pallets and stock in designated warehouse locations
• Checking incoming goods for damage, shortages or discrepancies
• Completing Goods In and Goods Out duties
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately
• Loading goods safely and securely for despatch
• Using handheld scanners and internal systems to maintain stock accuracy
• Printing labels and preparing goods for despatch
• Maintaining accurate warehouse records and paperwork
• Carrying out local deliveries using the company van when required
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
• Supporting colleagues with general warehouse duties when required

FLT Counterbalance Driver - Requirements

• Valid, externally accredited FLT Counterbalance licence - essential
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a warehouse or distribution environment
• Good understanding of warehouse and FLT safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
• Comfortable carrying out both FLT and general warehouse duties
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to use initiative and take responsibility for completing tasks
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Flexible approach to the role and willing to support the wider warehouse team
• Full UK driving licence desirable due to the local delivery element of the role
