Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) Derby is seeking an experienced FLT Counter Balance and Reach operator for a Monday to Friday shift from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The role is ongoing with a pay rate of £13.50 per hour and requires safe, efficient operation of counterbalance and reach forklifts, pallet handling, and general warehouse duties on site.

You will work closely with the production, dispatch and storage teams, ensuring goods are moved and stocked properly.

Qualifications

• Experience operating counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
• Experience in warehouse/pallet handling.
• Knowledge of health and safety in warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move, stack and store pallets and products within the warehouse.
• Pick, replenish and put away stock using FLT equipment.
• Transport materials to production, dispatch and storage areas.
• Assist on the warehouse/factory floor when not on FLT.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Moving, stacking and storing pallets and products within the warehouse.
• Picking, replenishing and putting away stock using FLT equipment.
• Transporting materials to production, dispatch and storage areas.
• When not required on the FLT you will be required to help on the warehouse/ Factory floor.

Preferred Experience

• Ability to prioritise workload, adapt to changing business requirements and work effectively across multiple operational functions.
• Experience working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a production or warehouse environment.
• Manual handling experience and confidence in safely moving equipment and stock.
