Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative in Leigh. This hands-on role combines FLT work with general warehouse duties in a busy operation.

You will operate a counterbalance FLT, load and unload vehicles, move stock, pick and pack orders, use hand-held scanners and stock controls. A valid FLT license, warehouse experience, good English, and basic computer skills are essential; an assessment will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence and proven experience (essential).
• Previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good level of English, including reading and writing skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and confidence using warehouse systems.
• Flexible approach to warehouse and FLT duties.

Shifts Available (Monday to Friday):

• 04:00 - 14:00
• 14:00 - 00:00
• 22:00 - 07:00

The Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation in Leigh.

This is a hands‑on role combining FLT duties with warehouse responsibilities. Candidates must be comfortable working in a demanding environment and willing to undertake manual handling duties when required.

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock around the warehouse
• Picking and packing orders
• Using hand‑held scanners
• Completing stock and warehouse administration tasks
• Manual handling and general warehouse duties as required

Requirements

Valid FLT Counterbalance licence and proven experience (essential)
