Job summary

Stateside Foods Limited in Westhoughton is hiring a permanent Machine Operative for the Flow Wrap Department. The role works Monday to Friday from 13:45 to 22:00, supporting production to meet correct standards and GMP guidelines, in a chilled fast-paced environment.

You will set up machinery, operate various machines, report issues, carry out basic repairs, training colleagues when needed, and adhere to H&S and Hygiene policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar production role is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve housekeeping/GMP within all areas
• Set up machinery
• Operate various machines
• To report/highlight any machinery or product related issues
• Carry out basic machinery repairs/replacements on wear and tear
• Build effective relationships
• Step up in the absence of the Line Leader
• Any other reasonable requests
• Support and train colleagues where necessary
• Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
• Adhere to the company’s Hygiene policies and procedures
