Job summary

Liberty is seeking an experienced Floor Layer to deliver high-quality flooring and maintenance work across occupied social housing properties in Salford. This full-time role covers domestic and commercial sites, using vinyl, carpet, tiles and timber with a focus on safety and customer service.

You will join the Responsive Repairs team, carry out installations and repairs, prepare subfloors, plan jobs, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 (or recognised apprenticeship) in Floor laying.
• Experience across all aspects of floor laying and flooring repairs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Installing, renewing and repairing wet room floors.
• Install and repair a wide range of flooring materials, including vinyl, carpet, tiles and timber.
• Prepare subfloors and surfaces to ensure high-quality finishes.
• Carry out fitting, finishing and refurbishment works in domestic properties.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Plan jobs effectively and manage materials and equipment.
• Work safely and collaboratively to achieve quality and performance standards.
