Job description

Job Opportunity: Adaptations Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team to support the delivery of adaptations, helping to reduce the existing works backlog within Adults and Social Care services. The role involves maintaining assets to meet statutory, regulatory standards for housing, and ensuring installation, repair, and maintenance obligations as a landlord are met. The goal is to provide high-quality rented housing, improve tenant satisfaction, strengthen landlord-tenant relationships, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Position Details
  • Location: Harvey Road (Base location), with off-site work across properties in Nottingham City
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week, with flexible and agile working arrangements by agreement to cover a 24/7 service
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience in all aspects of floor and wall finishes, including wet-room wall boarding
  2. Experience in repairs, new builds, maintenance, or contract environments, including assessing, inspecting jobs, and updating records
  3. Proficiency in using power tools and plant safely, following all safety procedures
  4. Experience in investigations and testing to identify faults and root causes, and implementing lasting solutions
  5. Ability to utilize skills from other trades to achieve efficient first-time fixes when appropriate
  6. Organizational skills with a flexible approach and ability to meet deadlines
  7. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance, willing to use for work
