We are recruiting a Flood Risk Engineer to join our expanding Infrastructure Engineering team in Cambridge. Suitable candidates could be from a civil engineering, geography or related earth sciences background.

What Are We Looking For.
We seek a talented person that can deliver innovative solutions to the technical and environmental challenges land development can present ,and enjoys collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be working closely with the local and regional teams producing and advising on flood risk and sustainable drainage strategies to accompany planning applications for a wide portfolio of project type.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering subject plus minimum 2+ Years relevant post-graduate experience. Experience in design of sustainable drainage is essential.
- Consultancy/private sector development background with a focus towards private sector development work.
- Knowledge of applicable UK policy, standards and guidance such as National Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance, TAN15, CIRIA C753, SuDS Manual etc.
- Knowledge of the UK planning process for new developments, such as energy and regeneration projects.
- Numerate and software literate. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of GIS and drainage modelling software such as Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow or Infodrainage or similar would be desirable, although training and support would be provided.
- Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach and enjoys responsibility.
- Ideally a full driving licence and access to a car.
