Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Flood Risk Engineer with around 3 years' experience to join its growing team. You'll work on a varied mix of projects across Wales and the wider UK.

The role covers preparing FRAs, drainage strategies, hydrology and hydraulic assessments, and reporting to support planning applications. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders is essential. We offer a collaborative environment and clear development path.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Around 3 years of flood risk, drainage or water consultancy experience.
• Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Knowledge of UK flood risk policy and guidance.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling software (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM) is beneficial.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake flood risk assessments for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.

A growing consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk Engineer with around 3 years' experience to join their Cardiff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a flood risk professional looking to develop their technical skills while working on a varied range of projects across Wales and the wider UK.
