Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Associate Flood Risk Consultant to join their team in Basingstoke. You will lead flood risk and drainage projects, deliver Flood Risk Assessments, liaise with regulators and clients, and mentor junior staff.

The role offers ownership across technical delivery, client management and project leadership, with a focus on growth of the flood risk team within a growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Minimum strong experience in flood risk consultancy.
• Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Good understanding of planning requirements and flood risk policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage flood risk and drainage projects from inception through to completion.
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies for developments.
• Undertake and review hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessments.
• Provide technical advice to clients, developers, planners and stakeholders.
• Liaise with Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities and regulators.
• Manage project budgets, programmes and client requirements.
• Review technical work and guide junior staff.
• Support business development, fee proposals and client relationships.
