Job summary

The Lancaster Environment Centre seeks an Innovation Fellow in Floating Solar to bridge research and industry. You will help embed cutting-edge knowledge into practical applications while collaborating across academia and industry to test and refine embedding approaches.

This role offers a hybrid working pattern, fixed-term three months full-time with Start 1 November 2026, and scope to contribute to technical reports and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with knowledge exchange focused on floating solar impacts on water bodies.
• Experience in water body modelling and simulation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to inclusive and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Embed research knowledge into industry practice.
• Collaborate across academia and industry to design knowledge embedding methods.
• Plan and deliver technical reports.
• Handle routine admin tasks to support academia–industry partnerships.
