Job summary

Autotech Recruit Ltd is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join as a Floating MOT Tester, supporting multiple centres around Reading. The role offers an excellent mix of testing and customer service across different sites, with travel between locations and a bonus structure.

You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards, communicate findings to customers, and help maintain accurate records. The position includes 41.5 hours per week, with a salary between £40,000 and £45,000 OTE plus bonus and

Qualifications

• Current and valid MOT Tester licence.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience carrying out MOT testing in a busy workshop.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible approach to travelling between sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards.
• Support multiple workshop locations across Reading and surrounding areas.
• Clearly communicate test results and vehicle condition findings to customers.
• Advise on any additional work required and explain MOT failures where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation correctly.
• Work closely with workshop teams to ensure professional service.
• Contribute to the smooth running of centres by assisting colleagues when required.

An established automotive service and repair business is looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join its team as a Floating MOT Tester, supporting multiple centres across Reading and the surrounding area.
