Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Floating Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker with a driving licence and access to a car. The role covers Huddersfield and Liversedge in West Yorkshire, with night shifts and weekend work. Salary £29,889.86–£32,032 per annum, full time 38.5 hours per week.

You will support young people with mental health needs, maintain records, and work across the Care in Mind portfolio with ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a car.
• Willing to work night shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• Good written skills to complete basic reports and records.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use online care systems and write emails.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to listen.
• Maintain professional boundaries and calm under pressure.
• NVQ Level 2 in Care (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Promote independence through support with education and daily living tasks.
• Update online care records and administer medications.
• Keep the home tidy and ensure a homely environment.
• Travel across Care in Mind portfolio in Yorkshire as needed.
