Job summary

Class 1 Personnel is recruiting for a Flight Checker role at Birmingham. You will oversee the loading of catering carts onto trucks and ensure security procedures during dispatch, maintaining the integrity of supplies throughout loading.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and be reliable in a fast-paced environment. Shift is 18:00-02:00, 4 on/4 off; UK criminal check and 5-year history may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in airline catering, checking, dispatch or security is beneficial.
• Ability to follow written procedures and communicate concerns clearly.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a busy operational environment.
• Willing to undergo UK criminal check and provide your last 5 years history.
• UK right to work and proof of National Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Observe and oversee staff loading catering carts and products onto trucks.
• Carry out the checks and searches required by site procedures and training.
• Remain vigilant for signs of tampering, unauthorised interference, or security breaches.
• Immediately report discrepancies or security concerns to the supervisor and escalate as required.
• Complete any associated checking and security records accurately.
• Work closely with loading, transport and operational colleagues to support timely, secure dispatch.
• Follow site health and safety, hygiene, and security procedures at all times

Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Flight Checker position for one of the most prestigious catering companies based at Birmingham.

This role mainly consists of support the secure preparation and dispatch of airline catering supplies by overseeing the loading of carts and products onto catering trucks. Apply the required security and search procedures to maintain the integrity of supplies throughout the loading process.

The Candidate

To be considered for the flight checker role you'll need to be able to demonstrate good attention to detail skills. The ideal person for this position would need the following:

• Previous experience in airline catering, checking, dispatch or security would be beneficial

• Able to understand and follow written procedures and communicate concerns clearly
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a busy operational environment
• Immediately report discrepancies or security concerns to the responsible supervisor and follow the required escalation process.
• Complete any associated checking and security records accurately.
• Work closely with loading, transport, and operational colleagues to support timely, secure dispatch.
