Job summary

Reflex Group in Boston, UK, is seeking an experienced Flexographic Printer to operate a 10 colour narrow web servo-driven press, prepare the press for printing and troubleshoot issues during production.

You will monitor print processes, maintain inks and solvents per job specifications, and work with the production team to maximise machine utilisation, quality, and on-time delivery. This full-time, permanent role offers stability within a leading UK packaging group.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in Flexographic Printing, ideally within the industry.
• Experience meeting SEDEX and ETI Requirements (not essential).
• Experience working within a team with a good standard of communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all printing tasks are carried out to high standards and that the standards are maintained.
• Operate and maintain production speeds on your shift and setting times to targets and record / report in areas where this is not possible.
• Work towards production improvements to eliminate quality problems and reduce downtime.
• Liaise with the production manager to achieve best possible machine utilisation with minimum wastage, while ensuring excellent quality and on-time delivery.
• Work as part of a team supporting colleagues and sharing information.
• Follow Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain safe working systems to keep personnel safe and operations efficient.
• Ensure collaborative working within the Print Department via good communication.

Shift Pattern: A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 - 14.00 Monday to Thursday and 6.00 - 13.00 Friday and week 2: 14.00 - 22.00 Monday to Thursday and 13.00 - 20.00 Friday

A flexographic Printer job requires you to manage flexographic printing machines such as an 10 colour narrow web servo-driven flexographic press. You usually prepare the press for printing and troubleshoot any issues during printing. Monitor printing processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, adjusting as necessary. Maintain inks and solvents according to types of material being printed and work order specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• To follow all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• To ensure your teamwork and maintain safe working systems to ensure personnel are kept free from injury and operations are safe and efficient.
