Job summary

Centric Talent is seeking a Flexographic Laminator in Pershore, UK. You will set up, operate and monitor laminating machinery to produce high-quality laminated packaging materials.

Responsibilities include reading job tickets, loading materials, adjusting controls, and performing routine quality checks. You will work with production, quality-control and maintenance teams to meet targets and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laminating machines per specs and schedules.
• Read job tickets, work orders, and production instructions.
• Prepare and load materials such as films, paper, foil, adhesives.
• Set and adjust machine controls for speed, temperature, pressure, and tension.
• Prepare, mix, and monitor adhesives and other bonding materials as required.
• Ensure correct web alignment and maintain proper tension throughout the laminating process.
• Monitor the laminating process to ensure strong bonding and consistent product quality.
• Carry out routine quality checks for adhesion, appearance, alignment, wrinkles, bubbles, creases, and other defects.
• Identify and correct laminating or machine problems to minimise downtime and waste.
• Change rolls, materials, adhesives, and other components between production jobs.
• Monitor material usage and minimise waste and scrap.
• Carry out routine cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance of laminating equipment.
• Report mechanical faults, equipment issues, or major quality problems to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Complete production records, including output, waste, downtime, and quality-control information.
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
• Handle materials, adhesives, solvents, and chemicals safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Work closely with production, quality-control, maintenance, and supervisory teams to meet production targets and deadlines.

A Flexographic Laminator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining laminating machinery used in the flexible packaging and printing industry. The role involves bonding two or more materials—such as plastic film, paper, foil, or other substrates—to produce high-quality laminated packaging materials.
