Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Year 6 teacher for daily supply work in St. Albans and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible hours across Hertfordshire, with pay ranging from £140 to £245 per day depending on experience and the client school's policy.

Ideal candidates are experienced primary teachers with QTS, capable of confidently leading KS2 classes, building relationships quickly, and maintaining high standards of pupil engagement. This is a flexible, non-permanent placement option.

Qualifications

• QTS qualified and experienced in primary education.
• Confident teaching across KS2, especially Year 6.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible to work across Hertfordshire schools.

Responsibilities

• Cover planned teacher absence with consistency.
• Provide PPA cover and short-term teaching across Year 6.
• Fill in for short-term sickness and emergency cover.
• Assist with training days and temporary placements.
