Step Teachers is seeking a Year 6 Teacher for day-to-day supply across Camden and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging lessons, prepare pupils for SATs, and adapt to different schools within our partner network.

The role offers flexible, weekly-paid supply work for QTS holders, with supportive teams and safeguarding compliance. Ideal for experienced Year 6 practitioners who enjoy variety and building rapport with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Confident teaching Year 6 and supporting SATs preparation.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability.
• Reliable, flexible, and professional as a Year 6 Teacher.
• Able to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff.
• Experience in upper Key Stage 2 preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the Year 6 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for SATs and transition to secondary school.
• Follow school planning or adapt lessons to suit pupil needs.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Mark work and provide feedback where required.
• Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth handovers.
