Job summary

Whistl North is seeking a Central Planning Co-ordinator to join our Planning & Support team. You will help plan day-to-day collections and deliveries across the van fleet, ensuring efficient routing and on-time performance.

The role involves data management, reporting, stakeholder communication with drivers, depots, and customer service, plus supporting improvement initiatives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport/logistics planning or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of UK geography and road networks.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with transport management or logistics planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Support planning of collections and deliveries across the van fleet.
• Monitor volumes against capacity and flag issues to Planning.
• Communicate with drivers, depots, transport teams and colleagues.
• Work with Customer Service and Commercial teams to fulfil requests.
• Maintain and update transport systems and data accuracy.
• Produce performance reports and share information across the business.
• Identify route improvements and support efficiency initiatives.
• Assist with mailbox management, administration and planning activities.
