Job summary

Whistl Ltd is seeking a Central Planning Co-ordinator to support day-to-day planning of collections and deliveries across our network. You will work closely with the Planning Supervisor, Network Planning Manager and Transport Planning teams to drive operational efficiency and service levels.

The role suits someone with transport or logistics experience, strong data skills, advanced Excel, and the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, depots and customer teams.

Qualifications

• Experience within a transport, logistics, planning, or distribution environment.
• Good knowledge of UK geography and road networks.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and see tasks through to completion.
• Experience using transport management or logistics planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning of collections and deliveries across the network's van fleet.
• Monitor volumes against available capacity and highlight any issues to the Planning team.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, depots, transport teams, and operational colleagues.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Commercial teams to fulfil customer collection requests.
• Maintain and update transport systems, ensuring data accuracy and overall system housekeeping.
• Produce performance reports and distribute information across the wider business.
• Identify opportunities for route improvements and support efficiency initiatives.
• Assist with shared mailbox management, administration, and wider planning activities.
