Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking a part-time Early Years Practitioner for Abbotswell School on a term-time contract. You will work with the Senior and Early Years Practitioners in planning and delivering a flexible, high-quality early learning and childcare service, meeting children's and families' needs and improving outcomes.

Candidates should hold SVQ Level 2 in Social Services, be eligible for SSSC registration, and have PVG membership or be willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Social Services – children and young people at SCQF Level 6, or willingness to work toward.
• Registration with or eligibility to register with SSSC.
• PVG membership for regulated work with children (or willingness to obtain before offer).

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Early Years Practitioner and Early Years Practitioner in planning and delivering a flexible, high quality early learning and childcare service.
• Meet individual needs of children and families, ensuring wellbeing and improving outcomes.
