Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking adaptable Teaching Assistants to support learners across EYFS/Primary, Secondary, and SEN settings. You will tailor roles to your preferences and contribute to classroom reading, maths, and pupil development.

If you have patience, strong communication and a proactive approach, immediate placements and local roles with flexible shifts are available, with PAYE weekly pay and competitive rates of £85–£110 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, care, sports coaching or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to learning and pupil development.
• Strong communication with foundational literacy and numeracy.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Primary Mainstream: support classroom activities, lead reading/maths groups, assist EYFS-KS2 development.
• Secondary Mainstream: provide subject-specific help, manage behaviour, support GCSE preparation.
• SEN & Specialist: deliver 1:1 or small group work for pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech delays or complex needs.

Responsibilities:

Because we collaborate with a variety of schools, your daily tasks will vary based on your preferred setting:

• Primary Mainstream: Provide essential classroom support, lead guided reading/maths groups, and assist with EYFS-KS2 development.
• Secondary Mainstream: Offer subject-specific classroom assistance, implement effective behaviour management strategies, and support pupils with GCSE preparation.
• SEN & Specialist Support: Deliver 1:1 or small group work tailored to pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech delays, or complex physical needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children or young people (gained in schools, nurseries, care work, sports coaching, or youth work).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning and pupil development.
• Strong communication skills with good foundational literacy and numeracy.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
