Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary & secondary schools in Dorset. You’ll work with teachers to aid learning, development and wellbeing, including individuals, small groups, or whole classes, depending on school needs.

We offer flexible day-to-day, short-term and longer-term opportunities with competitive pay and dedicated consultant support throughout placements.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provide support to pupils with SEND or other learning needs.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to participate and develop independence.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development.
• Assist with classroom preparation, displays and resources.
• Support classroom behaviour in line with policies.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
• Assist with school routines including break and lunch duties.
• Provide encouragement to pupils throughout the day.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies.
