Job summary

Zest Education is seeking Teaching Assistants to support students across North & South Birmingham in flexible, long-term supply roles. Work in a variety of schools assisting teachers and helping pupils access learning.

The role can be part-time or full-time, with duties including one-on-one support, material preparation, and behaviour management. Applicants should have an Enhanced DBS, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping children reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of the British Curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one and be registered with the DBS Update Service.
• Recent school-based experience within the last 5 years or care-based experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Help prepare lesson materials and classroom resources.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management.
