Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Chelmsford, Essex with flexible working patterns. You will assist in 1:1 and small group settings, help teachers deliver lessons, and bring calm and positive energy to busy classrooms.

This role offers weekly pay and opportunities across primary, secondary and early years environments, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant who will match you to suitable schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is ideal but not essential).
• Background in childcare, tutoring, youth work, coaching or SEN support is welcome.
• Friendly, adaptable and confident personality.
• Comfortable working in new and varied school environments.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Bringing calm, structure and positivity into busy classrooms.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs where required.
• Helping ensure learning runs smoothly throughout the day.
• Making a real difference in everyday classroom moments.
