Job Description

We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Flexible Supply Teachers to join our team. As a Flexible Supply Teacher, you will work across a variety of primary and/or secondary schools, covering short-term absences, providing continuity of learning, and supporting the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across the curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to students' needs and school requirements.
  2. Follow school policies and procedures, adhere to the national curriculum, and ensure all activities are appropriate for the students' age, stage, and ability.
  3. Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive learning environment and ensuring student safety and well-being.
  5. Support assessment processes and provide feedback on student progress to colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders, participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  7. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, and feedback, completing administrative tasks professionally and promptly.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching across primary and/or secondary curricula, with a strong understanding of pedagogical practices and assessment strategies.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to quickly establish rapport in new environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Valid DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to work flexibly, choosing your own days and locations.
