Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting enthusiastic secondary teachers for supply opportunities across Newcastle upon Tyne. Roles range from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, delivered within your subject specialism and with strong classroom management.

The successful candidate will have QTS (ECTs welcomed), a relevant subject, and experience in a UK secondary setting, with knowledge of the curriculum and a professional, adaptable approach. PAYE staffing model applies.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply).
• A relevant subject specialism.
• Experience teaching within a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management.
• A positive, adaptable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons within their subject specialism.
• Manage classroom behaviour and support student learning.
• Provide coverage across Key Stage 2/KS2 and KS3/KS3 as needed.
• Support longer-term placements and adapt to different schools.
