Job summary

Thrive Leyland Meadows is seeking a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team on a flexible supply basis. You will provide safe, nurturing care for children aged 3 months to 5 years and deliver learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.

We welcome Level 2 and Level 3 qualified practitioners who thrive in a supportive environment. The role offers flexible hours, competitive pay (£13.45 per hour) and funded training with potential career progression within Thrive.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3)
• Passion for early childhood development and learning
• Reliable, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high‑quality care and learning experiences
• Strong safeguarding understanding and promoting children's welfare
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to nursery needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children aged 3 months to 5 years
• Deliver stimulating learning experiences through play and planned activities
• Promote each child’s individual development and wellbeing
• Support daily routines and holiday cover
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Work as part of a skilled Early Years team
• Follow nursery policies and safeguarding requirements
• Be a positive role model for children and staff
