Job summary

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to provide high-quality welfare, safeguarding and wellbeing support to learners. You will work with students, staff and external agencies to address barriers to learning and support those with complex needs.

This role can be offered on a term-time basis or part‑time by arrangement, with a comprehensive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent including Maths and English.
• Experience of liaising with a range of people and external agencies.
• Ability to evaluate challenging situations and make well‑judged decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality welfare, wellbeing and safeguarding support to learners.
• Work with students, staff and external agencies to address barriers to learning.
• Maintain accurate records and use IT systems effectively.
• Support learners with complex needs and safeguarding concerns.
