Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking an Operational Resource Planning Leader for the Child Maintenance Service in Plymouth. You will lead a team of resource planners and work with senior operational leaders to forecast needs, develop robust plans and support strategic decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to present complex information clearly, and to drive improvements across the resource planning function. A permanent, full-time position in the Civil Service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading resource planning in a large public sector or government service.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable plans.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership to a small team delivering complex tasks under pressure.
• Lead development of comprehensive, robust resource plans with opportunities and risks.
• Drive stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and business partners to deliver positive outcomes.
• Deliver accurate, complex resource reporting, planning and forecasting.
• Communicate complex information clearly in written briefings and to Directors and Senior stakeholders.
