Job summary

The RAC is seeking a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic to join the Esher cluster. You’ll respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and get members back on the road in your local area, starting from home with a planned roster.

Shifts run 06:00–02:00, about 40 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime. You’ll have a RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit from day one, plus a competitive package and career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside mechanical support to RAC members and diagnose faults on site.
• Manage your own kit and van, keep it stocked, and handle required reports with precision.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience

5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
