Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare in Maidstone, Kent, is seeking an experienced optometrist to join our multi-disciplinary team. The role involves pre and post-operative consultations, assessing suitability for refractive surgery, cataract and medical retina procedures, and running clinics with notes in electronic medical records.

This zero-hour contract offers flexible shifts at our Kent Clinic, with hourly rates up to £50 depending on refractive experience.

Qualifications

• Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist.
• Extensive experience in refractive, high street or hospital settings.
• Experience using patient administration and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out examinations for refractive surgery, cataract, and medical retina procedures.
• Run post-surgery clinics and document findings in EMR.
• Provide health advice and first-line clinical guidance.
• Follow referrals to medical practitioners when needed.
• Maintain awareness of equipment safety and mandatory updates.
