Job summary

Ackerman Pierce Education is seeking dedicated SEND Tutors for 1:1 support in Bridlington. You will work face-to-face with students from Early Years to KS4, delivering core subjects or SEND-specific content and applying positive behaviour strategies.

Ideal candidates have SEND/SEMH experience and a background in education or youth work; QTS or HLTA certification is preferred, though two years of UK experience without qualifications is acceptable. Weekly pay is guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH requirements.
• Background in education, youth work, or therapeutic settings.
• QTS or HLTA certification preferred; applicants with two years UK experience without qualifications welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support with students from Early Years to KS4.
• Deliver core subjects (Maths, English, Science) or SEND-specific content.
• Utilise effective behaviour management strategies and positive approaches.
• Perform baseline academic and emotional assessments to inform targeted support.
• Prepare detailed daily/weekly progress reports and liaise with external professionals as needed.
• Manage daily attendance reporting and assist learners in transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
