Job summary

Keys Group in Peterborough is recruiting SEND and Alternative Provision Tutors to support children and young people who cannot access mainstream education. You will work one-to-one with learners, helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes, in homes, community venues, or other suitable settings.

This role offers flexible hours with a minimum of two days per week, driving is required, and you can work as zero-hour employed or self-employed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience delivering the UK curriculum and supporting young people through teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar educational roles.
• Understanding of SEND, including ASD and ADHD.
• Minimum commitment of 2 days per week and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one sessions in English, Maths, life skills, and other agreed areas.
• Plan and adapt lessons based on the individual needs, interests, and abilities of each learner.
• Build positive and trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress.
• Support learners aged 5-16 with a range of educational, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Deliver sessions within community settings or learners' homes.
• Complete session reports and progress updates following each visit.
• Travel across your local area to deliver sessions and support learners.
