These flexible opportunities are ideal for a Secondary Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety and wants to make a positive impact across different school environments. You will be supporting pupils in Enfield and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and gain confidence across a range of subjects.

Salary is paid weekly through PAYE and depends on experience. Opportunities include both short-term and long-term placements with safeguarding checks in place.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils in a secondary school setting.
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting mixed-ability and SEND learners.
• Calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident supporting learning across different subject areas.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptable across year groups and varied classroom environments.
• Professional, reliable, and proactive.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• Willingness to undertake additional training and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
• Support pupils with additional needs to help them fully engage in lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and follow school behaviour policies
• Help prepare learning materials and contribute to classroom organisation
• Encourage independence, confidence, and good study habits
• Monitor pupil progress and share relevant observations with teaching staff
• Support school routines and wider duties during longer-term placements
