Qualifications

• QTS is essential for the role and enables delivery of curriculum and safeguarding standards.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school demonstrates classroom capability and subject delivery.
• Strong knowledge of your subject specialism enables effective lessons and student progression.
• High expectations for all pupils supports attainment and classroom culture.
• Strong classroom management skills maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Confidence with planning, assessment and adapting learning where required underpins progression.
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding ensures student safety in all settings.
• Ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils and staff fosters collaboration.
• Flexible and proactive approach supports working across different school environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Plan and assess learning where required.
• Provide effective classroom cover for short-term assignments.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, teachers and wider school teams.
• Follow individual school policies, procedures and expectations.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
