Job summary

Cover People are seeking a qualified Secondary Supply Teacher to cover lessons across Key Stages 3–4 (with KS5 opportunities) in the Bury area. You will follow school policies, manage classes and adapt to different environments while delivering engaging lessons.

We welcome both experienced teachers and ECTs who can maintain high standards of teaching and pupil wellbeing. Roles include day-to-day, short-term and longer-term placements across partner schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• ECTs encouraged to apply.
• Strong subject knowledge within your specialist area.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, reliable and confident working in different school environments.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and supporting student progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with Key Stage 5 opportunities where required.
• Follow school policies and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt confidently to different schools and classroom settings.
• Manage behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Support pupils' learning and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Provide clear handover notes for the class teacher where appropriate.
