Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic, qualified Mathematics Teachers to undertake supply teaching assignments in secondary schools across Southwark. We have opportunities for both flexible daily supply work and longer-term placements, offering exposure to a range of supportive environments.

Ideal candidates will hold QTS, a maths degree, and proven classroom management, with a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS recognised in England.
• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Previous secondary school teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics and confident delivery at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, professional, and reliable approach to supply teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the national curriculum where required.
• Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 opportunities.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess pupils' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities and needs.
• Collaborate with school staff to support pupil progress.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
