Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking qualified General Cover Teachers with QTS to work across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.

You will teach across a range of subjects, support student learning, and adapt to different schools and class settings. Flexible day-to-day, short-term, and longer placements are available with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for the role.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is required.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are important.
• Confidence supervising students across multiple subjects is expected.
• Flexibility to work across different schools is necessary.
• Commitment to student learning and development is required.
• An Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one is required.
• Right to Work in the UK must be held.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.
• Supervise and support students in Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities.
• Maintain a positive, focused learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students understand and complete the work provided.
• Adapt to different schools, classes and teaching environments.
• Support students' learning, progress and development.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
