Job summary

PK Education is seeking reliable and proactive Bank Caretakers to support day-to-day operation and maintenance of school sites across Sheffield. This flexible, as-needed role fits around other commitments while contributing to the safe and well-run educational environment.

As a Bank Caretaker you will perform routine site inspections, basic maintenance, cleaning, and opening/closing premises. You may assist with events and grounds upkeep, while reporting issues to supervisors and maintaining

Qualifications

Experience in caretaker, facilities, maintenance, or site support preferred.
Ability to carry out basic maintenance and practical tasks safely and effectively.
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine site inspections to ensure premises are safe, secure and well-maintained.
Undertake basic maintenance and repair tasks across school buildings and grounds.
Ensure school facilities are clean, tidy and ready for daily use.
Open and secure school premises as required.
Monitor and report maintenance issues, hazards or security concerns to the supervisor.
Assist with room setups, furniture movement and preparation for school events and activities.
Maintain external areas including pathways, entrances and outdoor spaces.
Follow all health and safety procedures and site-specific regulations.
