Job summary

Adur & Worthing Councils are seeking a dedicated Complex Case & Safeguarding Lead to support Resident Services, protecting adults and children at risk. The role is based at Worthing Town Hall, with an Enhanced DBS check and a focus on ensuring statutory safeguarding duties are met.

You will be the main contact for safeguarding referrals, chair internal meetings, and help maintain governance across safeguarding activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding procedures and governance.
• Ability to translate safeguarding legislation into practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead on safeguarding governance and policy implementation.
• Coordinate complex case meetings and referrals.
• Represent the Council at external partnership meetings.
