Job summary

Adur & Worthing Councils are seeking a Complex Case & Safeguarding Lead to join the Resident Services team. You will protect adults and children at risk, manage referrals, and lead on safeguarding governance and policy updates.

You will work with the Corporate Director for Housing and Communities, chair complex meetings, and ensure timely, accurate records while collaborating with internal staff and external statutory agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safeguarding teams or complex cases.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and thresholds.
• Ability to translate legislation into practical processes and reports.

Responsibilities

• Chair internal complex case meetings and coordinate safeguarding referrals.
• Support governance framework and keep safeguarding policies up to date.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners for referrals and audits.
