Job summary

Barnardo's is recruiting for flexible, part-time, on-going roles in Leicestershire Residential Services. The homes are located in Hinckley and surrounding areas, requiring travel across the locality.

Therole involves supporting children and young people aged 8-18 with a range of needs, building trust and promoting resilience. We welcome applicants who can commit to safeguarding responsibilities, maintain records, and contribute to a safe, nurturing home environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
• Must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle as travel across the locality is essential.
• Relevant experience working with children & young people.

Responsibilities

• Build trust and develop nurturing relationships to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals.
• Contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning, etc.
• Document information accurately and keep records up to date.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Promote and maintain a safe environment at all times.
