Wellspring Academy Trust in Grimsby is seeking relief catering assistants to support our school kitchen teams. You will help serve wholesome meals to pupils, prepare and cook food, and keep dining areas clean and safe. Training is provided on day one to cover food safety and safeguarding.

This flexible, on-site role offers zero-hours shifts with opportunities to gain experience in a supportive educational environment, ideal for those seeking casual, part-time work.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided from day one.
• No formal qualifications required; reliability, teamwork and a strong work ethic matter.
• Flexible, casual zero-hours relief shifts with on-call work.
• Willingness to undertake training such as Food Safety or First Aid.

Responsabilités

• Work as part of a friendly kitchen team serving meals to young people.
• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious food while accommodating dietary needs.
• Keep dining areas, kitchens and equipment clean and tidy.
• Safely use catering equipment following food safety guidelines.
• Help with stock control, menu support and basic catering IT systems.
• Maintain high standards of safety and safeguarding in the premises.
