Job summary

Springwell Leeds Academy - North is seeking a relief assistant caretaker to join our estates team and help keep the school clean, safe and welcoming for pupils and staff.

This casual, zero-hours role offers flexible on‑site work, with full training provided from day one and no formal qualifications required.

You will clean designated areas, assist with minor repairs, store equipment safely, report faults promptly, and complete safeguarding and health & safety training.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for cleaning specified areas following the Trust's standards.
• Perform caretaking duties including minor DIY repairs as directed.
• Safely store cleaning equipment after use.
• Report equipment faults or shortages to supervisor promptly.
• Attend required health and safety and safeguarding training.
