Job summary

East Riding of Yorksihire Council is seeking Relief Care Officers to work across East Riding Children’s Homes in Anlaby, Bridlington, Driffield and Skirlaugh. This flexible role suits those balancing study or family commitments with shifts offered on an as-needed basis.

You will build positive relationships with children and young people, support education, daily routines and participate in safeguarding to help them achieve positive outcomes in a stable home environment.

Qualifications

• Kind, caring and compassionate.
• No prior residential childcare experience required.
• Experience caring for or working with children and young people is a plus.
• Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
