Contract Personnel is seeking Recycling Operatives in the Norwich area for a full-time role on a fast-moving conveyor line, sorting recyclables by type. The job emphasizes environmental sustainability and efficient waste management, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include manual sorting, material handling, quality control, and following PPE requirements. The position offers 28 holidays, weekly pay, and a pension scheme, with a 7-day operation and flexible weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Able to work in a waste/recycling environment, indoors or outdoors.
• Good attention to detail and quick hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manual Sorting: identify and separate recyclable materials on a conveyor belt.
• Material Handling: sort items into containers or chutes for processing.
• Quality Control: remove non-recyclables and contaminants to maintain quality.
• Health & Safety: follow site safety rules and wear PPE at all times.
• Housekeeping: keep sorting areas clean and uncluttered.
• Teamwork: communicate with colleagues to meet sorting targets.
• Perform additional duties as required.
